One silver and one bronze medal on the final day of the world championships

The U20 World Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, have come to an end.

On the final competition day, medalists were determined in the 70kg, 74kg, 97kg and 125kg freestyle wrestling categories.

Haji Karimov (70kg) faced Iran’s Sina Mehdi Khalili in the final. Losing 7-3 to his opponent, Haji claimed the silver medal.

Yusif Dursunov (125kg) faced Georgia’s Aleksandre Abramishvili in the bronze-medal bout. Taking the initiative from the very beginning, Yusif maintained his advantage until the end and secured a 6-0 victory to claim the world bronze medal.

As a result, our wrestlers won a total of nine medals (1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze) at the U20 World Championships.
