Emin Javadli wins world bronze medal

The U20 World Wrestling Championships are continuing in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

On the third competition day, medalists were determined in the 55kg, 67kg, 72kg and 97kg Greco-Roman wrestling categories.

Emin Javadli (55kg) faced Japan’s Hiro Sakamoto in the bronze-medal bout. Giving his opponent no chance, our representative secured an emphatic victory by technical superiority (11-1) to claim the world bronze medal.

With this result, Azerbaijan’s medal tally at the World Championships has reached three. As a reminder, Cavidan Nehmatov (77kg) won silver and Tural Ahmadov (63kg) claimed bronze yesterday.
