Three Azerbaijani wrestlers finish fifth at ranking tournament

The ranking tournament in wrestling has got underway in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Five Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers competed on the opening day.
Islam Bazarqanov (57 kg) defeated France’s Rasul Galburayev 7-2 and India’s Rahul Rahul 5-3, but lost to another Indian representative, Aman Aman, 0-11 in the semifinals and Kazakhstan’s Meirambek Kartbay 1-6 in the bronze medal bout.
Nureddin Novruzov (61 kg) defeated Australia’s Georgii Okorokov 7-5, but was beaten by Kazakhstan’s Assyl Aitkhan 0-9 in the quarterfinals and India’s Deepak Deepak 8-9 in the bronze medal bout.
Rashid Babazade (65 kg) overcame France’s Khamzat Arsamerzoyev 7-3, but lost to India’s Vishal Kaliraman 2-5 in the quarterfinals.
Kenan Heybatov (70 kg) defeated Ukraine’s Vasyl Shuptar 8-2 and Kazakhstan’s Mayis Aliyev 5-3 to reach the semifinals. However, he was stopped by American wrestler Rick Lovett 0-6 in the semifinal and Iran’s Ebrahim Elahichouran 5-6 in the bronze medal bout.
Turan Bayramov (74 kg) lost to Bahrain’s Magomedrasul Asluev 1-3 in the qualification round, while Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) did not compete due to illness.
