Batumi test awaits beach wrestlers

The third stage of the Beach Wrestling World Series for seniors will be held in Batumi, Georgia, on June 20–21.

Under the leadership of national team head coach Oyan Nazarian, Rubail Ibrahimli (70 kg), Sahib Dadashov, Vusal Aliyev (both 80 kg), Ashraf Ashirov, Ilgar Nazarli (both 90 kg), and Islam Ilyasov (+90 kg) will represent Azerbaijan in the neighboring country.

On the first day of competition, qualification matches and the first two rounds of the group stage will take place. On the following day, the final round of the group stage, semifinals, and medal bouts will be held.

Azerbaijan’s Category I-S referee Bashir Isazade will officiate at the World Series event.
