Five medals in one day at the European championships

The U17 European Wrestling Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria are nearing completion.
On the sixth day of competition, the medalists in freestyle wrestling were determined in the 48 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 80 kg, and 110 kg weight categories. Five members of our national team stepped onto the podium.
Huseyn Rzazada (48 kg) gave no chance to Ukraine’s Volodymyr Boyko in the final. He claimed the European title after defeating his opponent ahead of time (12:0).
Abbas Shafiyev (55 kg) secured the bronze medal by defeating Hungary’s Kirill Shumeyko with a score of 13:7.
Rashid Nazarov (65 kg) lost to Russia’s Maksim Mongush in the final (2:14) and finished with a silver medal.
Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg) stood on the top step of the podium after defeating Türkiye’s Emirhan Cayir by technical superiority (10:0) in the final.
Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg) defeated Belarus’ Daniil Zhivula 3:1 in the bronze medal match.
