Khadija Gurbanzada reaches European Championship final

The U17 European Wrestling Championships continue in Samokov, Bulgaria.

The women’s wrestling competition kicked off on the third day of the tournament.

Khadija Gurbanzada (49 kg) gave no chance to Poland’s Zuzanna Ptak and Finland’s Kerttu Helmi Uschanoff. Our wrestler defeated both opponents by technical superiority with a score of 10:0 and then overcame Germany-based compatriot Madina Bayramova in the semifinal – 4:1. Khadija will face Ukraine’s Olena Kolubai in tomorrow’s final.

Maryam Amrali (57 kg) lost to Italy’s Sara Servedio (2:8) in the qualification round, while Nuray Hasanli (65 kg) was defeated by Türkiye’s Bade Dogan (0:11) in the round of 16.
