Gunay Gurbanova: “Next year will be better.”

European bronze medalist in women’s wrestling, Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), shared her thoughts:

“I am very happy. This was my first participation at the senior European Championships. I was expecting a gold medal from myself. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. God willing, next year will be better. I lost the victory with just 15 seconds left. I guess I lacked experience.

Regarding whether I will move to 57 or 62 kg for the Olympic Games, the decision will not be mine, but Toğrul Asgarov’s. I will wrestle in whichever weight he recommends.”
