Islam Abbasov: “We will try to eliminate our shortcomings in the upcoming competitions”

Islam Abbasov (87 kg), a bronze medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling at the European Championship, shared his impressions:

“This is a very difficult path. As you know, Greco-Roman wrestling is highly developed in European countries. For this reason, the European Championship is very competitive and intense. I express my deep gratitude to everyone who supported me during my preparation for this competition. Thank you very much!

Every year, the results you achieve at the European and World Championships are an indicator of your preparation throughout the year. The goal was to become a champion. There were simply some shortcomings. We will try to eliminate them in the upcoming competitions. We will fully restore our peak form and prepare for future competitions.”
