Our national team finished third at the “Champions” tournament

The “Champions” tournament held in Antalya, Turkey, has come to an end.

On the final day of the competition, four of our wrestlers stepped onto the podium.

In freestyle wrestling, Bashir Verdiyev (65 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver medals, while Mukhamad Kantemirov (125 kg) claimed bronze.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Tural Ahmadov (63 kg) defeated all of his opponents to become the champion.

Our national freestyle wrestling team finished the tournament in third place in the team standings with 119 points.

Overall, our wrestlers won a total of 13 medals (3 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze) at the “Champions” tournament.
