Our national teams finished second at the “Zafar Cup”

The wrestling “Zafar Cup” held in Antalya, Türkiye, has come to an end.

On the final day of the traditional tournament, 5 of our wrestlers stepped onto the podium.

In freestyle wrestling, Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg) and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg) defeated all their opponents and became champions.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Zaka Yusubov (80 kg) and Muhammad Mustafayev (110 kg) achieved the same result. Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) won the bronze medal.

Our freestyle wrestling team completed the traditional tournament with 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, collecting 147 points and taking 2nd place in the team standings. Our Greco-Roman wrestling team earned 5 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, collecting 169 points and also finishing in 2nd place in the overall standings.
