Ethics and public speaking training held for wrestlers
December 22, 2025
Ethics and public speaking training sessions are successfully continuing at the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
A new cooperation memorandum signed between the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and the Ethics Academy has laid the foundation for an important stage in promoting ethical conduct and speech culture within the sports community. As part of this strategic initiative, special training programs designed for young and professional wrestlers at the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation are being carried out actively and successfully.
Sport is not only about physical strength, speed, and tactics. It is also about dignity, integrity, and the responsibility to serve as a role model for society. In line with this philosophy, the training sessions conducted by Günel İbrahim, Director of the Ethics Academy, cover the following key areas:
Public speaking skills
Theoretical and practical knowledge is provided to help athletes express their thoughts clearly, fluently, and logically on international platforms.
Effective speech techniques
Work is carried out on the nuances of speech culture, proper voice modulation, and enriching vocabulary.
Psychological preparation
Special psychological exercises are conducted to overcome anxiety and nervousness when speaking in public.
On-camera performance
Realistic filming simulations are organized to help athletes feel confident during interviews and demonstrate appropriate body language (gestures and facial expressions) in front of the camera.
Self-expression skills
Athletes develop the ability to respond to difficult questions and maintain ethical standards during moments of victory or defeat.
Thanks to this initiative, Azerbaijani wrestlers will stand out not only through their victories on the mat, but also through their high intellectual level, public speaking abilities, and exemplary ethical behavior, setting an example for the global sports community. This partnership between the National Olympic Committee and the Ethics Academy aims to ensure that athletes develop as well-rounded individuals both in the arena and in society.
