Six medals in Russia

Two traditional wrestling tournaments were held in Russia.

A memorial tournament dedicated to two-time Olympic champion Soslan Andiyev took place in Vladikavkaz. Magomedkhan Magomedov tested himself in the 125 kg weight class for the first time. His debut in the new category was successful. The national team member, who competed at the Islamic Solidarity Games last month, defeated all his opponents at this event and climbed to the top of the podium.

Khasavyurt, meanwhile, hosted the Shamil Umakhanov tournament. Among the national team members, Murad Yevloyev (74 kg), Ali Tsokayev (86 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (97 kg) won silver medals, while Gadzhimurad Omarov (74 kg) and Mukhammad Kantemirov (125 kg) claimed bronze.
