Our team finishes third in the World Championships

The U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria, have concluded.

Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team won a total of three medals at this prestigious tournament. Scoring 90 points, the team placed third overall in the team standings. In terms of medal count, medal quality, points earned, and team ranking, this is the best result achieved by the Azerbaijani squad in the last three years.

Among the medalists were: Aykhan Javadov (60 kg) with gold, Turan Dashdemirov (55 kg) with silver, and Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg) with bronze.
