Our Wrestlers Head to Kazakhstan

The U20 national Greco-Roman wrestling team of Azerbaijan will begin its next training camp on June 1.

The preparation process, held in collaboration with the local team at the Alma-Tau training base in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, will last for two weeks. This camp is part of the team’s preparations for the European Championship.

Under the guidance of head coach Nureddin Rajabov and coaches Turaj Hasanli and Zohrab Abbasov, the following wrestlers will participate: Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg), Ayhan Javadov, Vedat Gasimli (both 60 kg), Tural Ahmadov (63 kg), Farayim Mustafayev, Roman Karimov (both 67 kg), Kamran Rajabli, Seymur Gasimov (both 72 kg), Davud Mammadov, Javad Mammadov (both 77 kg), Elmin Aliyev, Javidan Nehmetov (both 82 kg), Orkhan Hajiyev (87 kg), Ismayil Rzayev (97 kg), and Mezaim Mardanov (130 kg).
