Ibrahim became a 3-time world champion, Ramiz won a silver medal
 
The beach wrestling season has concluded in Poreč, Croatia.
In the final stage of the World Series, our country was represented by Ramiz Hasanov (80 kg) and Ibrahim Yusubov (90 kg), under the leadership of head coach Oyan Nazariani. Our wrestlers performed successfully in the decisive stage.
Ramiz Hasanov won against Hugo Cueno (2:0) from France, Ramaz Zoideze (4:0) from Georgia, and Miljan Rajic (3:0) from Serbia in Group A, advancing to the semifinals as the group leader. In the semifinal, he defeated Christoforidis Christos (2:0). However, in the final, Hasanov lost to Vasile Diacon from Moldova (0:2), finishing the final stage with a silver medal.
Ibrahim Yusubov was also in Group A and finished this stage with maximum results. Our experienced wrestler defeated Traian Capatina from Moldova (3:0), Nazar Doda from Ukraine (3:0), and Patrik Puestpoeki from Hungary (3:0). In the semifinal, Yusubov narrowly defeated Oleksii Yakovchuk from Ukraine (3:2). In the final, he faced Capatina again and won (3:1), earning a gold medal in the final stage.
After the competition, the points from all stages of the World Series were tallied, and the world champions were determined. Based on the final results, Ramiz became the world runner-up, while Ibrahim defended his title for the third time, becoming the world champion again!
