Veteran wrestlers won 4 medals at the World Championship

From October 8 to 13, the World Championship for veteran wrestlers was held in Poreč, Croatia.

Four of our compatriots made it to the podium. In the A category, freestyle wrestlers Jalal Suleymanov (62 kg) and Elchin Hasanov (70 kg), and Greco-Roman wrestler Elgiz Mammadov (100 kg) won bronze medals. In the C category, freestyle wrestler Jalal Abdulov (130 kg) also secured a bronze medal, becoming third in the world.

At the championship, international referee Kamran Bakhishov (third degree) and national referee Gadim Gurbanov served as officials. Bakhishov took an exam to move up to the second category, while Gurbanov aimed for the third category.
