The U15 European Wrestling Championship in Caorle, Italy, continues with the third day marking the start of the Greco-Roman wrestling competition.

Huseyn Amrahli advanced to the final after defeating Italy’s Nicola Sedichina (9:0), Belarus’s Gleb Semyanenka (3:1), and Armenia’s Vardan Melkonyan (4:2).
His teammate, Khudayar Karimli, secured victories over Poland’s Kasper Bielewicz (11:0) and Bulgaria’s Ivan Aleksandrov (10:0) but lost in the quarterfinals to Russia’s Arsan Aliyev (0:9). Khudayar will compete in the repechage.

Rahib Ahmadov progressed to the semifinals with commanding wins against Slovakia’s Andrej Posvanka (10:0), Romania’s Ayan Istfan (11:0), and Poland’s Matvey Bezrukyi (9:0). However, he was defeated by Russia’s Soltan Yusupov (2:11) in the semifinals and will now wrestle for bronze.

His teammate, Qurban Majnunov, was defeated in the Round of 16 by Romania’s Andrei Peleanu (3:4).

Zohrab Safarov defeated Hungary’s Zombor Simon (9:0) and Russia’s Aleksandr Karpekin (10:8) but was pinned in the quarterfinals by Belarus’s Dmitry Kisel. Zohrab will compete in the repechage.
His teammate, Mahammad Orujov, was pinned in the first round by Poland’s Lucjan Popecki.
