The participants of the World Championship have been determined

From October 28 to 31, the World Wrestling Championship will be held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

In this non-Olympic weight championship, our country will be represented by 10 wrestlers.

The competition will start with Greco-Roman wrestlers. Under the guidance of head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov, senior coach Rovshan Bayramov, and coach Hasan Aliyev, Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (63 kg), Ulvi Qenizade (72 kg), and Qurban Qurbanov (82 kg) will strive for success.

Next, the baton will pass to the women’s competition. Under the leadership of senior coach Togrul Asgarov and coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev, Alyona Kolesnik (59 kg) and Elis Manolova (65 kg) will test their strength.

The championship will conclude with the freestyle wrestlers. Under the direction of head coach Khetag Qazyumov, senior coach Jabrail Hasanov, and coach Sharif Sharifov, Nureddin Novruzov (61 kg), Ali Rahimzade (70 kg), Orkhan Abasov (79 kg), and Abubakr Abakarov (92 kg) will take to the mat.

At the World Championship, first-degree referee Sadi Guliyev will ensure fairness in the competitions.
