Our wrestlers will participate in the U-23 World Championship

The U-23 World Wrestling Championship will be held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, from October 21 to 27.

Our Greco-Roman wrestlers will kick off the tournament. Under the leadership of head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov, senior coach Rovshan Bayramov, and coach Hasan Aliyev, Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihad Guluzade (60 kg), Ziya Babashov (63 kg), Farid Khalilov (67 kg), Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg), Khasay Hasanli (77 kg), Elmin Aliyev (82 kg), Cocu Samedov (87 kg), Murad Ahmadiev (97 kg), and Serkhan Mammadov (130 kg) will compete for success.

Later, Elnura Mammadova (50 kg), Gultekin Shirinova (55 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Guler Habibova (59 kg), and Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) will join the competition under the guidance of senior coach Toghrul Asgarov and coaches Agahuseyn Mustafayev and Solmaz Adilova.

In the final days of the championship, our freestyle wrestlers will take to the mat. Led by head coach Khetag Gazyumov, senior coach Jabrayil Hasanov, and coach Taymuraz Kokoyev, Vasif Baghirov (57 kg), Ruslan Abdullayev (61 kg), Rashid Babazade (65 kg), Magomed-Bashir Khaniev (70 kg), Jabrayil Gadjiyev (74 kg), Ali Tsokaev (79 kg), Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg), Abduljalil Shabanov (92 kg), Aslan Abakarov (97 kg), and Aydin Ahmadov (125 kg) will represent our country.

International referees of the first degree Natiq Hajiyev and Bashir Isazade will officiate at this important event.
