Our wrestler reached the final of the world championship

The U-20 World Wrestling Championship continues in Pontevedra, Spain.
Today, freestyle wrestlers in the 57, 65, 70, 79, and 97 kg weight classes began their competition.
Bashir Verdiyev (57 kg) could not overcome Brazilian Kayo Duarte in the qualifying round, losing 3:14.
Ayxan Abdullazade (65 kg) gave no chance to Romanian Daniel Sandu in his debut, winning 12:2. In the 1/8 final, our compatriot eliminated Armenian Arman Musukyan with a score of 12:8. Abdullazade then lost 6:9 to Iranian Ali Khorramdel in the next round. Since Ali advanced to the final, Ayxan will compete in the consolation match tomorrow. His opponent will be Turkish Abdullah Toprak.
Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) lost 2:3 in the qualifying round to Ukrainian Bohdan Olinik.
Emin Gocayev (79 kg) secured a confident victory (15:8) over Kyrgyz Adilet Akilbekov, but then lost 1:3 to Belarusian Dmitri Lukashuk in the 1/8 final.
Khetag Karsanov (97 kg) defeated Kyrgyz Aytenir Maksatov by technical superiority in his debut, winning 11:0. However, he faced tough resistance in the quarterfinals. Karsanov narrowly defeated Turkish Rifat Gidak (2:1) to advance to the semifinals. Our representative then won by fall against Slovak Adam Jaksik, securing his place in the final. Khetag will wrestle against Rizabek Aitmukhan from Kazakhstan, who was last year’s world champion among seniors, in the decisive match.
