Our National Team Crowned European Champions

The U17 European Wrestling Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, have come to an end.

Our freestyle wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of 6 medals. The team achieved 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals during the prestigious competition.

With this result, our national team accumulated 151 points, claiming the European Champion title once again. Ukraine followed in second place with 144 points, while Georgia secured third place with 116 points.

It is worth noting that under the leadership of Head Coach Asgarkhan Novruzov and coaches Vahid Mammadov and Yashar Aliyev, Revan Hasanzade (48kg), Ruslan Alizade (55kg), and Said Pashayev (92kg) won gold medals. Hasan Hasanov (60kg) earned silver, while Ramal Mirhuseynov (51kg) and Hakim Taghiyev (110kg) took bronze.
