National Wrestling Teams Begin First Training Camp of the Year

Azerbaijan’s national wrestling teams have started their first training camp of the year.

All three teams are training at the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation’s (AGF) training base, focusing on both physical conditioning and tactical-technical drills under the supervision of their coaches.

A group from the freestyle wrestling team will travel to Dagestan on January 19, where the main squad will hold a training camp in Makhachkala until February 1.

Meanwhile, the Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling teams will continue their preparations in Azerbaijan until the first ranking tournament of the year, the Zagreb Open, taking place in Croatia from February 5-9. Following the tournament, both teams will continue their training abroad for upcoming major competitions.
