Gunay Gurbanova in final at European U20 Wrestling Championship

The U20 European Wrestling Championship continues in Caorle, Italy.

On the third day of the tournament, the women’s wrestling competition began.

Today, Azerbaijan was represented by one wrestler. Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) advanced to the final without difficulty. The talented wrestler, who won this year’s ranking tournament and the U23 European Championship, defeated Germany’s Franziska Blaumeiser (10:0), Ukraine’s Mariya Mizyurka by fall, and Belarus’s Marta Hetmanava (11:0) ahead of time. Gunay will face Turkey’s Sevim Akbas in the decisive match tomorrow.
