Freestyle Wrestlers to Compete in Traditional Tournament

Azerbaijan’s freestyle wrestling team is set to participate in its first competition of 2025.

Eight national team members will compete in the Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov Memorial Tournament, held in Varna, Bulgaria, from January 23-26. Under the guidance of coach Taymuraz Kokoyev, the Azerbaijani squad includes:

• Rəhman İmanov (57 kg)
• Ceyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg)
• Murad Haqverdiyev (65 kg)
• Zirəddin Bayramov (70 kg)
• Fərid Cabbarov & Səbuhi Əmiraslanov (both 79 kg)
• Sadiq Mustafazadə (92 kg)
• Yusif Dursunov (125 kg)

Additionally, I-category referee Zaur Sharifov will officiate at the tournament.
