Azerbaijani Girls Secure 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals at European Championship

The women’s wrestling competition at the U15 European Championship in Caorle, Italy, has concluded.

For the first time, Azerbaijan competed with a full roster in this age group, earning three medals. Simura Abdullayeva (66 kg) claimed silver, while Leyla Asgarova (39 kg) and Maryam Amrali (54 kg) each secured bronze. The team finished 5th in the overall standings with 82 points.

These achievements set four records for the Azerbaijani team. The number and quality of medals, the total points earned, and the final team ranking represent Azerbaijan’s best-ever performance in the history of U15 European Championships.
