Azerbaijan opens U20 European Championships with three silver medals

The U20 European Wrestling Championships continue in Caorle, Italy.

On the second day of the tournament, champions were crowned in five Greco-Roman weight categories.

Team Azerbaijan began its campaign with three silver medals.

In the 55 kg final, Turan Dashdamirov lost to Ivan Solomin (Russia) based on the last-point criteria (1:1).
In the 63 kg division, Tural Ahmadov was defeated by Igor Punchenko (Russia) with a score of 1:9.
Davud Mammadov (77 kg) faced Anri Putkaradze (Georgia) in the gold medal match and lost 1:3.

Despite falling short in the finals, all three wrestlers delivered strong performances to reach the podium and earn silver for Azerbaijan.
