Azerbaijan Announces Squad for U15 European Championships

The U15 European Wrestling Championships will take place in Caorle, Italy, from June 25 to 28.

For the first time since the event’s inception in 2017, Azerbaijan will compete with a full roster of 39 wrestlers. According to the regulations, each country can field up to 13 athletes per wrestling style. While Azerbaijan has participated with full teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling since 2022, this year marks the debut of a complete squad in women’s wrestling as well.

The freestyle wrestlers will be the first to take to the mats under the guidance of head coach Namig Guliyev and coaches Elshad Allahverdiyev and Khagan Suleymanov. The team includes:

On June 26, the women’s team, led by head coaches Hasrat Mammadov and Solmaz Adilova, will join the competition. The roster features:

Each day’s competitions will begin at 1:00 PM Baku time. The refereeing team includes Azerbaijan’s Category III referees Kenan Hajialiyev and Sevinj Yusibova.
