Aykhan Javadov becomes European Champion

The U20 European Wrestling Championship continues in Caorle, Italy.

Today, medalists in Greco-Roman wrestling categories 60, 67, 72, 82, and 97 kg were determined.

Aykhan Javadov (60 kg) won the final against Swedish Adam Silverin by criteria (1:1), becoming the European champion.

Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg) won the bronze medal after a tough match, defeating Turkish wrestler Abdullah Keskin 7:5.

Seymur Gasimov (72 kg) lost 1:3 to Greek Arionas Kolitsopoulos and finished in 5th place.

Elmin Aliyev (82 kg) claimed the bronze medal with a decisive 10:0 victory over Serbian Ognyen Jakovljevic.
