Another National Team Becomes European Champion

The U15 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has concluded.
Another one of our national teams has been crowned European champions in the team rankings at the continental tournament.
With 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals, our Greco-Roman wrestling team secured first place with 131 points. Armenia (125 points) came second, and Georgia (99 points) finished third.
In our team, Omer Salmanov (44 kg) defeated all his opponents to become the European champion. Huseyn Amrahli (38 kg) and Ruslan Nuriyev (75 kg) claimed silver medals, while Khudayar Karimli (38 kg), Huseyn Mustafazade (52 kg), and Nadir Hasanov (62 kg) earned bronze medals.
It should be noted that this marks the third time our team has become European champions. Our Greco-Roman wrestling team achieved the same success in 2022 and 2024.
