2 medals on the first day of the “Champions” tournament

Today, the “Champions” tournament for juniors (U20) in wrestling kicked off in Antalya, Turkey.

On the first day of the competition, our Greco-Roman wrestlers in the 55 kg, 67 kg, 77 kg, and 97 kg weight categories competed.

Two of our representatives reached the podium. Turan Dashdemirov (55 kg) won a silver medal, while Ismayil Rzayev (97 kg) earned a bronze. Khalid Alasgarov (55 kg) and Davud Mammadov (77 kg) had to settle for fifth place.

Tomorrow, our wrestlers in the 60 kg, 72 kg, and 87 kg weight categories will take to the mat.
