The National Seminar of Wrestling Coaches is continuing.

The next stage of the seminar was held today in Gobustan city. Wrestling coaches-teachers operating in Ismayilli, Agsu, Gobustan and Shamakhi regions participated in the event.

The theoretical part of the seminar took place in the Gobustan Youth House. Gadir Akbarov, the sector head of the Gobustan of the Nagorno-Shirvan Regional Youth and Sports Department, spoke about the importance of the seminar and expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF) for this. Garib Aliyev, the chairman of the AWF Referees’ Board, spoke about the projects implemented by the federation, wrestling rules and violations of the rules. Hasrat Mammadyarov, the coach of the women’s wrestling junior and youth national team, and Elbrus Mammadov, the coach of the U-17 Greco-Roman wrestling national team, delivered their recommendations to local coaches. The consequences of underage athletes losing too much weight were also highlighted in this seminar. I-S category referee Sadi Guliyev touched upon the evaluation of the tricks performed against the background of the video demonstration.

The practical part of the seminar was held in the wrestling hall of the Gobustan Children’s Youth Sports School. H. Mammadyarov demonstrated the precise execution of various tricks in freestyle, and E. Mammadov demonstrated the precise execution of various tricks in Greco-Roman wrestling.

It should be noted that the next stage of the All-Republican seminar of wrestling coaches will be held on November 26 in the city of Gazakh.
