The National Seminar of Wrestling Coaches is continuing.
The next stage of the seminar was held today in Gabala city. Wrestling coaches-teachers operating in Gabala, Gakh, Sheki, Zagatala, Oghuz and Balakan regions participated in the event.
The theoretical part of the seminar was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Mushfig Abbasov, Department Head of the Sheki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department, made a speech and noted that such seminars play a major role in improving the knowledge and skills of coaches. Garib Aliyev, Chairman of the AGF Referees’ Board, spoke about the projects implemented by the federation and some wrestling rules. Hasrat Mammadyarov, coach of the women’s wrestling junior and youth national team, and Elbrus Mammadov, coach of the Greco-Roman wrestling U-17 national team, shared their experience with their colleagues. I-S category referee Sadi Guliyev commented on the decisions made in controversial episodes. In the theoretical part, an exchange of views was held with local coaches and their proposals were listened to.
The practical part of the seminar was held in the wrestling hall of the “Gabala” Sports Club. H. Mammadyarov performed freestyle and E. Mammadov performed Greco-Roman wrestling tricks. They also demonstrated prohibited tricks in wrestling.
It should be noted that the next stage of the All-Republican seminar of wrestling coaches will be held tomorrow in the city of Gobustan.
