Our Greco-Roman wrestlers won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals in Tyumen

An international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held in the city of Tyumen, Russia.

At the competition organized in honor of world and European champion, Olympic medalist Vladimir Cheboksarov, our country was represented by six wrestlers under the leadership of head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov and coach Kamran Mammadov. In this traditional tournament, which featured teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, three of our wrestlers made it to the podium.

In this competition, Eldeniz Azizli (60 kg) and Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) reached the finals but had to settle for silver medals as they did not compete in the decisive match due to injury. Qurban Qurbanov (82 kg) won a bronze medal.
