On September 20, an open Greco-Roman wrestling training session was held at the Zugulba Training and Sports Base of the “Education” Republican Sports Center.

The event was attended by a member of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, Olympic and 2-time world champion Farid Mansurov, Olympic medalist, 2-time world and 3-time European champion Rafiq Huseynov, European and world medalist Taleh Mammadov, and national team coach, European and world medalist Elvin Mursaliyev. They not only shared their experiences with the young athletes but also provided valuable advice.

The main goal of organizing the session was to promote a healthy lifestyle among children and youth, facilitate meetings between famous athletes and young wrestlers, improve the techniques and tactics of young athletes, and promote and develop wrestling. At the end of the event, certificates were presented to the young athletes who participated in the open session, and commemorative photos were taken.

It is worth noting that an open freestyle wrestling training session was held at the same location last week.
